The Jr. Angler Tournament, established in 1991, promotes the participation of youthful fishermen in a sporting event which encourages conservation of marine life and awareness of the necessity to protect our natural resources.
Jr. Angler Captain’s Meeting: Monday July 16th at 7:30 PM.
Jr. Angler Awards Ceremony: Saturday July 21st 3:00 PM
REGISTRATION:
Registration Fee $10.00
Registration ends at 7:30 PM on Monday July 16th
The Captain must be registered in the General Tournament to
participate in the Jr. Angler Tournament.
Junior Angler Seminars
The GJKT, in association with Fish Florida proud to announce the continuation of the Junior Angler seminar program for 2011. Seminars will begin at 1:00 pm on Saturday. Topics include: fishing the water column, lure selection, tackle selection, fish fighting techniques, bait selection, and casting as well as general fishing techniques. Every Junior Angler attending a seminar will receive a fishing rod and reel.
Captain Don Dingman, will be the 2011 Junior Angler Announcer.
