The Jr. Angler Tournament, established in 1991, promotes the participation of youthful fishermen in a sporting event which encourages conservation of marine life and awareness of the necessity to protect our natural resources.
Jr. Angler Captain’s Meeting: Tuesday, July 22nd at 7:30 PM
Jr. Angler Awards Ceremony: Thursday, July 24th at 7:00 PM

Registration Fee $10.00
Registration ends at 7:30 PM on Tuesday, July 22nd
The Captain must be registered in the General Tournament to
participate in the Jr. Angler Tournament.

Junior Angler Seminars
The GJKT, in association with Fish Florida and Hook the Future , is proud to announce the continuation of the Junior Angler seminar program for 2008. Captain Don Dingman of television's Hook the Future will be conducting an all-kids seminar on Friday and Saturday of Tournament Week at 1:00pm. Topics include: fishing the water column, lure selection, tackle selection, fish fighting techniques, bait selection, and casting as well as general fishing techniques. The seminar will last approximately 45 minutes and will be followed by a free kids-only raffle.
Captain Don will also be back for 2008 as the Junior Angler Announcer. Capt. Dingman is an acclaimed, full-time offshore and inshore professional angler and fishing guide. He has led kids to nine Junior IFGA world records!
