The 44th Annual GJKT will feature a brand-new event that takes place July 13th. It is the inaugural GJKT Kickoff Beach Tournament. And like the name says, it is a tournament fished within state waters (3 miles out) from Brunswick inlet to the Flagler Pier. Top prize is $50,000 cash, and we will pay down to at least 20 places. We will still have the GJKT general tournament, the following week, with another awesome top prize as well.

Jacksonville Marine Charities, Inc., the 501 c(3) organization behind the Greater Jacksonville Kingfish Tournament, evolved through the success of the GJKT and utilizes its proceeds to support marine science research, preservation, and education. The Board’s criteria for funding a project is strict. It must be marine-oriented and overseen or proposed by other non-profit groups. The effects of these donations are far-reaching and benefit, not only Jacksonville and the First Coast, but also the entire state of Florida.

Benefiting the Community through Jacksonville Marine Charities, Inc. The Greater Jacksonville Kingfish Tournament, held each year in July at Jim King Park & Boat Ramp on the ICW, is one of the largest kingfish tournament in the Southeast. In addition to the General Tournament, this spectacular event also includes a Junior Angler Offshore Tournament, presented by Summit Contracting Group; a Food Festival, live entertainment, and much, much more.
